RCA WALMART 7 inch TABLET (WiFi, only) $69

ADVANTAGES
Used around the world on WiFi networks  (I am protected via my downloaded AVG anti-virus)
Download library books for reading during long trips (day and night modes)
Read email, and type short replies
Read/view/post on facebook (able to post photos?- I never tried)
Played games (primarily "Angry Birds")
Downloaded apps - tablet hardware works with most (not all) apps on Google Play
Plays YouTube movies (640X480?) with built-in speaker or headphones
Stores and Plays Mp3 music files; to use tablet as bulk storage: cable must be a standard USB (male) to micro USB (male)
Storage is ~unlimited - has a port for SD memory
Can add an external keyboard - requires micro-USB to female USB adapter)

DISADVANTAGES of my "El Cheepo" tablet:
Tablet came with a 120V US power supply. I had to buy a "universal" power supply (240V/50HZ @ $6) for use in most of the world
About 1 minute iniital boot time
Fingerprints on screen
Low brilliance screen- hard to see in bright light
Response to touch typing a bit slow;  leads to typing mistakes; must slow typing and check frequently
On long email messages, the typing software has twice gone crazy
No GPS   - Sky map and road directions do not work.
